I got the idea from “dauber” bingo pens, which immediately made me think of wasps!

The second image is a copy of the original modified for visibility, ironically.
This is a drawing on plastic I did for my solo show “Shinobi Marilyn” at Emily Amy Gallery. Using an xacto knife I cross hatched scratched lines into the surface of the plastic sheet, one pixel at a time.
The scratched lines interfere with the passage of light through the plastic, creating a shadow on the wall behind the drawing.

Each candle flame was redrawn, one at a time, with a mouse. I really didn’t like all the flames being the same. It seemed to “easy” looking.

Where should this go up, Atlanta?
Working on a mural in Decatur at a friend’s house. Spent about 4 hours fixing a few dead spots in the design (see first picture) and just adjusting stuff. The next step is inking the entire piece, then priming over that to erase all the scratch lines, then painting it in, then doing touch ups with the wall coat and blackboard paint.
This thing is going to be so ridiculous when it’s done.
